Why are Teaser Trailers made

Teaser trailers are made as a way of marketing and advertising a new film. It creates a buzz around that film and more people are aware off what's coming out. You can also say it generates a hype about the new up coming film. Teasers are usually released long before the actual product to get the audience interested in there product by showing them a short 30-90 seconds clip to. The reason why teasers are shorter then theatrical trailers is because they want to 'tease' the audience by not giving away too much.
