Location ideas

Canary Wharf and London city. These are our main possible locations due to our film being about business. We haven't chosen for definite which one would be our main location to use as they are both similar but we are moving towards Canary wharf as the big Hsbc towers and finance buildings will attract more attention from people who work in this
sort of environment or aspire to work here in the future. This also goes with our costume ideas of formal wear for both of our Main protagonists. Suits and formal wear are definitely everywhere in Canary wharf.

Another location is my college Ernest Bevin. Reasons for filming here will be because of easy access and less restriction to facilities. Such as using desks computers and many more.  

Film Poster Analysis: Dark Night Rises

This is the new film poster for the latest and last Batman film Directed by Christopher Nolan. First thing I get from this poster is that Batman is the films main protagonist. I get this information from the composition of the poster which is very much centre staged and that Batman is standing alone. Although fans will know that there's another main character, Bain played by Tom Hardy which is the villain for some reason the narrative has decided to only concentrate on Batman. This could be the reason that this is the last Batman film or that the Batman legacy could be coming to an end. I say this because behind Batman is a view of exploding building's and shattered glass. Also the burning fire shows that hell is about to hit Gotham City. Another thing is if you look at Batman's posture he doesnt look very confident as he is looking down rather than standing proud. The conventions used in this poster shows off the type of action genre this film is. The way Batman's fist is clenched shows his anger towards the people that are trying to ruin the city he lives in. The signature bat signal above Batmans head is the main attraction to the comic book fans as this has been in the very first batman films, tv shows and comics. So you can say that Batman has created their own franchise.

Trailer Pitch

London, 2013, Richard Smith is a business man who works for a big investment compnay but little does he know that his boss has done illegal things to other companies. Richard is on his way home from a meeting with another company who is interested in the firm and suddenly he is grabbed and thrown into a car. The kidnappers want Richard to either frame his boss or give his boss to these people. Richars has no choice or say in this matter. If richard slips it wont be just his life thats in danger.

Storyboard Draft

This is me and Kiyan's storyboard which consists of eight different scenes which might be included in our final teaser trailer. These shots are not in specific order as once filmed and put on the mac we can edit them and see which order suits best. We have an establishing shot of London city to set the location of the film for our audience to know where our teaser is based. We have in our storyboard a chase scene, we use this scene to give the film an uptempo feel with fast paced running. The rest of the scenes I just drew up as an idea to fill in gaps as I was by myself. Now I got Kiyan we have new ideas and a new story board which will be coming soon.

Why are Teaser Trailers made

Teaser trailers are made as a way of marketing and advertising a new film. It creates a buzz around that film and more people are aware off what's coming out. You can also say it generates a hype about the new up coming film. Teasers are usually released long before the actual product to get the audience interested in there product by showing them a short 30-90 seconds clip to. The reason why teasers are shorter then theatrical trailers is because they want to 'tease' the audience by not giving away too much. For example the Twilight Breaking dawn part 2 teaser trailer was 1:19 while the full length trailer was 2:16

Conventions of a Teaser Trailer

A teaser trailer is a small set of clips from a new film, TV show or game to advertise and get the audience excited about what is coming out in the future. Teaser trailers are usually around 30- 90 seconds long and has small amounts of footage from the actual game, TV show or film. Because teaser trailers are released much earlier than the actual product,within a film case they might show scenes that are not in the final edited version of the film due to the film still being edited or in production while the teaser was made.
